Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences (PIEAS) has been mandated to promote education and research at its highest standards in basic and applied fields. Granted degree-awarding status by the Government of Pakistan in April 2000, PIEAS established the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) in May 2015 under Higher Education Commission (HEC) guidelines.
